OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC DAY

The Harris County—Houston Sports Authority hosted the 2023 Olympic & Paralympic Day on Friday, June 23, 2023. Olympic & Paralympic Day focuses on Olympic and Paralympic values and ideals such as fair play, perseverance, respect, and sportsmanship.

 

The day will consist of Houston Olympians & Paralympians from the United States Olympic & Paralympic Association teaching over 100 children how to play various sports, including tennis, baseball, track and field, taekwondo, boxing, gymnastics, bobsled, and basketball. The event is designed to engage youth and promote the ideals of the Olympic & Paralympic movement. The day will feature athlete appearances, lunch, autographs, and an Olympian & Paralympian Q&A session.
