Every time the Rocket took the mound, he pitched with intensity. This intensity shines through in Opie Otterstad’s depiction of the Rocket hurling his iconic fastball off the mound of Minute Maid Park. On the scoreboard behind Clemens is an illustration of Roger’s high school career at local Spring Woods High School with a list of his accomplishments, including MLB records, 7 Cy Young Awards, and 4672 strikeouts. Just above the black and red ‘Astros’ on his uniform is a subtle Texas Longhorns logo, where Clemens starred in college.
