SHERYL SWOOPES
CLASS OF 2022

With the 1993 National Championship, 4 straight WNBA Championships, 3 Olympic Gold Medals, the Naismith Hall of Fame, and now the Houston Sports Hall of Fame, Sheryl Swoopes owns many rings.
When Sheryl Swoopes arrived on the scene in 1997, she quickly became the most dominant player in the league, even referred to as “the female Michael Jordan.”

This excellence is encapsulated in the design of her HOF ring, which includes “Comets”, the Houston skyline, and “MVP” on one side to celebrate her three Most Valuable Player awards and four WNBA Championships. The other side shows the Olympic Rings to represent her three gold medals.
